Will the Economic Global Crisis affect India in a big way?

The characterization of a person as “beautiful”, whether on an individual basis or by community consensus, is often based on some combination of Inner Beauty, which includes psychological factors such as personality, intelligence, grace, politeness, charisma, integrity, congruence and elegance, and Outer Beauty which includes physical factors, such as whatever you perceive it to be. Standards of beauty are evolving, based on what a culture considers valuable.
A relaxing treat for your body with drooping chocolate and yummy cheesecake, is it? Well, not really - these are just exotic names of foot massages that will leave your feet happy. Once you enter the spa, the fragrance of aromatic oils fills the nostrils and the pristine white ambience serves as a balm for a tired mind. Soothing meditational music and aromatic candles add to the comforting atmosphere. And so begins the journey of cleaning the feet and leg up to the knee with water, followed with scrubbing. The therapist, slowly and in rhythmic motion, moves her hand pressing acupuncture points to relieve stress and tension. So, just the perfect time to say happy feet!
I have very thin hair, which is very oily. I wash it every alternate day, but it becomes oily within 5-6 hours. — Mithalee
The world's most expensive manicure, called the Iced Manicure, costs a whopping $51,000 (`22,95,000 approx). And why not? If you're going to come back with 10 carat diamonds encrusted on your nails, you have to pay the price for it. "Only the affluent, royals and privileged have access to this treatment," says the website of the service provider. We wouldn't have thought otherwise. A model at a Mumbai exhibition on Saturday grabbed a few eyeballs with her customised designer gold and diamond contact lenses. The limited edition lenses, that come in white or yellow gold with diamonds, were conceptualised by Dr Chandrashekhar Chawan and designed by Sanjay Shah, and cost around `5-7 lakh.
Use less shampoo when washing your hair. Only one application is enough. Using too much shampoo stimulates the scalp to produce more oil. Take one teaspoon of shampoo for long hair and half a teaspoon for short hair. Dilute it with a little water before applying it. Rinse it off well. After a shampoo wash, add the juice of a lemon to a mug of water and use it as a last rinse. Avoid creamy conditioners and oil application. Applying egg white half-an-hour before a shampoo wash reduces oiliness and adds body to the hair. Weekly henna treatments will help.
While all of us have different types of skin and hence different issues with it, the desire for good skin is universal. And most people will find that they face common issues such as an oily t-zone, pigmentation, wrinkles and even stretch marks. So instead of letting these problems get you down, read on to find out a solution.
Oily Skin - Most teenagers are plagued with the problem of black heads, open pores and oily skin. Washing the oil off frequently with a suitable face wash is a good idea.
Stretch Marks - Stretch marks, especially those caused due to pregnancy occur due to the permanent snapping of the elastic fibres of the skin. Creams and lotions are not of much aid in this case but can help lighten the marks.
Wrinkles & Agieng- To keep your skin looking young, it needs to be adequately hydrated. Exfoliation is also an important step in ensuring that the new cells provide a glow to the skin. Always protect your skin from the UV rays, pollutants and use appropriate skin care products with optimal pH. Eat a few servings of fruits and vegetables daily and drink plenty of water.
The thought that “Beauty is pain” is an old wives' tale, at least at Oasis Spa and Salon.
